The ceremony was attended by representatives of nearly 20 Azerbaijani NGOs visiting Georgia.
NGO representatives visited the Youth Palace, where Azerbaijan’s independence was once declared, visited the graves of ADR founders Fatali Khan Khoisky and Hasan bey Agayev in the pantheon located in the Botanical Garden, and honored their memory.
Events in honor of the Republic Day will continue in the Museum of Culture of Azerbaijan named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov which will host a meeting of representatives of Azerbaijani and Georgian NGOs, an exhibition of Georgian photographers dedicated to Azerbaijan, and a demonstration of national Azerbaijani clothing.
The Azerbaijani Embassy will also hold an official reception on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the ADR. The event will be attended by officials of the Georgian government, representatives of the diplomatic corps, public figures, intellectuals and members of the public community.
