Azerbaijan has received an observer status in the Pacific Alliance at the next meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Mexico city, Report informs citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The Ministry reported that Azerbaijan attaches a great importance to cooperation with Latin American countries in foreign policy and in this regard actively cooperates with organizations and economic associations existing in the region.

Notably, Pacific Alliance, which unites Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile is an economic bloc. It was established in June. 2012. Now the Alliance has 57 observers, including Azerbaijan.
