Azerbaijan ready to accept UNHCR mission in its territory

"Azerbaijan and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reached an agreement on implementing the UNHCR mission to the conflict-affected areas of our country," said Head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva.
"In general, we would like to emphasize that Azerbaijan guided by the principles of international law, especially the principle of state sovereignty, is ready to accept international missions in its territory. In this regard, we expect the organization to provide the exact information on the UNHCR mission in our liberated territories. Azerbaijan is ready to accept the UNHCR mission based on the principles of international law," she added.
