Azerbaijani President offers condolences to his Iranian counterpart

Baku. 5 May. REPORT.AZ/ President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to the President of Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) Hassan Rouhani.

Report informs, condolence text says:

“Dear Mr. President,

I was deeply saddened by the news of heavy casualties as a result of an explosion in a coal mine in Golestan province.

On the occasion of this tragedy, on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, families and loved ones of those who died and the whole people of Iran and wish those injured the soonest possible recovery.

May Allah rest the souls of the dead in peace!"
