Azerbaijan, Kenya explore cooperation

On September 16, Sultan Hajiyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kenya, met with Amason Jeffah Kingi, Speaker of the Kenyan Senate, Report informs.
Ambassador Hajiyev highlighted the steady development of the Azerbaijan-Kenya relations, describing the establishment of the Kenya-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group in the Kenyan Senate, as well the establishment of the interparliamentary working group with Kenya in the Milli Majlis as a crucial part of bilateral relations.
Amason Jeffah Kingi praised the development of relations between the two countries' legislative bodies. In this regard, he stressed the importance of Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto's visit to Baku to attend the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Kingi added that both countries would benefit from cooperation within international organizations, namely the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
