Azerbaijan investigates taking hostage of Azerbaijanis by PKK terrorists in Turkey

Baku. 1 August. REPORT.AZ/ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is investigating the incident of taking hostage of 35 Azerbaijani citizens by the PKK terrorist organization members.

Report was told by the Foreign Ministry spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev.

"Based on the instructions of the Foreign Ministry, Consulate General in Kars and Azerbaijani Embassy to Turkey are investigating the matter with the relevant government agencies. Additional information will be provided", Hajiyev said.

Some mass media informed today about the taking hostage of a Turkey-Nakhchivan bus passengers by the PKK organization members in Turkey. According to the information, nearly 35 passengers of 70 were Azerbaijanis.
