The evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine is continuing.
As the Russian bureau of Report informs, with the assistance of the embassy, nine Azerbaijanis were delivered to Moscow from Kherson region of Ukraine. Among them are two citizens of Ukraine and seven Azerbaijani citizens. Today they will return home by Moscow-Baku flight.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu met with our compatriots evacuated from Ukraine. According to him, the evacuation of our compatriots is continuing as instructed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
"We have decided to evacuate you to Azerbaijan through Moscow."
"Russia is our strategic ally. We also enjoy good relations with Ukraine, we are a friendly people. We believe that Russia and Ukraine will come to an agreement in the near future," the ambassador said at the meeting.
Nazim Ahmadov, an Azerbaijani evacuee from Ukraine, told Report that the embassy organized the evacuation and they arrived in Moscow by train. He expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission, as well as to President Ilham Aliyev.
