Azerbaijan elected member of UNESCO’s intergovernmental committee for safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage

Baku. 6 June. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan was elected a member of UNESCO’s most important bodies: Intergovernmental Committee for safeguarding intangible heritage.

Report informs, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Anar Kerimov said.

Azerbaijan will hold this post for the period of 2018-2022.

“Congratulations and many thanks to all countries that supported our candidature!”, - A. Kerimov said.

Notably, together with Azerbaijan the Netherlands, Poland, Jamaica, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Djibouti, Togo and Kuwait have been elected to the committee.
