Azerbaijan, Council of Europe celebrating 20th anniversary of cooperation

The relations between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan testify to the commitment to cooperation and the work that has been done over the past two decades, Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, said in a video message to the participants of the round table at ADA University on the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan.

Bjorn Berge noted that over the past years the cooperation with Azerbaijan had been developing actively in a number of directions, including in the field of combat against trafficking in humans.

Berge also highly appreciated Azerbaijan's contribution to multiculturalism.

He voiced hope for the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.
