Another provocation against Azerbaijan, Türkiye in Yerevan

Another provocation has been committed against Azerbaijan and Türkiye at the European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan, Report informs.

Among the flags of the countries participating in the tournament, the attributes of Azerbaijan and Türkiye were hung in a torn state.

This once again shows the ongoing policy of ethnic hatred and discrimination in Armenia.

During the solemn opening ceremony of the European Championship Aram Nikolyan, who is an employee of the Public Television of Armenia, snatched the flag of Azerbaijan from the flag bearer and set it on fire, after which he fled the stage with the flag. Later it became known that no criminal case would be initiated against him.

In connection with this vandalism, the Azerbaijani team refused to participate in the competition. The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Olympic Committee issued a joint statement citing Armenia's failure to provide security as the reason.
