A group of 400 Azerbaijani citizens returned home through a special corridor on the Russian-Azerbaijani border, closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Report informs, citing the Instagram page of the Derbent District Administration of the Republic of Dagestan.

"Azerbaijan has increased the number of people who can return home from the tent camp in Kullar. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has opened a temporary accommodation center on the border of Derbent and Mahammadkend districts of Dagestan for Azerbaijani citizens who cannot go back. Citizens of the neighboring country, who are in the tent camp, are sent in groups every Tuesday. On September 1, another 400 Azerbaijani citizens were sent home," the statement said.

The flow of civilians returning to Azerbaijan is gradually declining, and the list of returnees is compiled, taking into account the rules of waiting.
