Ambassador: Romania supports development of EU-Azerbaijan relations

Baku. 24 November. REPORT.AZ/ Romania and Azerbaijan have good relations.

Report informs, Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Daniel Iancu said this at a meeting with reporters.

Recalling the numerous visits of the two leaders, D. Iancu also noted the importance of developing interpersonal contacts: "There are many similarities between Romania and Azerbaijanis".

Speaking of trade turnover D. Iancu said that in 2015 the level of trade amounted to 161 mln USD.

He also raised the issue of SOCAR activities in Romania, noting that the company is actively developing its activities in the country.

The Ambassador also noted that Romania supports development of relations between the EU and Azerbaijan.
