Indonesia Independence Day has been celebrated in Baku, Report informs.
Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hildi Hamid and Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov delivered a speech at the event.
In his welcoming speech, the ambassador of Indonesia congratulated Azerbaijan on the victory in the second Karabakh war and honored the memory of the martyrs, adding that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan is also celebrated today.
“Our relations are constantly developing, the leaders of both countries are making every effort to deepen these relations. Despite all the global difficulties, we are facing these challenges together,” he said.
He stated that relations are developing in the field of education through the study of the Indonesian language and culture at the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
He also noted that Azerbaijan and Indonesia are cooperating together in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov in his speech noted that relations with Indonesia have sustainable development and cover many areas.
“Azerbaijan liberated its lands in 2020 and Indonesia has always supported us in the international arena,” he added.
He stated about the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries and the possible increase in mutual investment.
