Baku. 22 December. REPORT.AZ/ Ambassador Dan Stav completed his visit in the western region. Today he met Mr. Mahir Hasanov, the deputy governor of Tovuz region, and Mr. Alipasha Mammadov, the governor of Shamkir region, Report was told in the Embassy of Israel to Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador emphasized Embassy's interest in enhancing cooperation with two important regions located on the strategic historic Silk Road.
He said that the aim of the visit is to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Stav discussed with Azerbaijani counterparts ways of expanding collaboration, especially in the fields of agriculture (modernization of cattle breeding, whine production) and eco-tourism.
He stressed the role of the embassy in creating the connections between Israeli companies and entrepreneurs in Tovuz and Shamkir regions with the assistance of governor’s administration.
Later Ambassador visited cattle-breeding farm, historical castle, national park and wine yard in Tovuz, as well as Green Market, Agro Park and Shamkir reservoir in Shamkir region.
