REPORT.AZ/ "At present, the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani bilateral cooperation is traditionally built on the basis of mutually beneficial partnership, friendship and, in general, successfully developing in political, trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres." Report informs, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aydzhigit Buranov said this in an interview with Kabar.

"Thanks to the results of the official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan A. Atambayev to Azerbaijan in 2012 and the high level of personal relations of the two leaders, our interstate relations are characterized by mutual trust, close positions on many important international and regional issues of mutual interest," the Ambassador said.

He noted that the two sides are working to a more dynamic further development of bilateral cooperation: "Kyrgyzstan's embassy in Azerbaijan in coordination with the leadership in Bishkek has been working to harmonize the timing of the official visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Belarus.Currently, the two sides in the framework of the intergovernmental commission Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan working on trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and humanitarian areas of bilateral cooperation. A. Buranov also noted that there is an agreement on the visit of Chairman of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov to Kyrgyzstan for the further development of inter-parliamentary and diplomatic contacts.

According to the ambassador, recently, communication between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan via Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States line (CCTS), Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA), TURKSOY and Cultural Heritage Fund become more active.
