Azerbaijan and Switzerland have friendly relations in all areas.

Report informs, Swiss Ambassador to Azerbaijan Muriel Peneveyre said this at an official reception on the occasion of the National Day and the 20th anniversary of technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

The diplomat stressed that the countries cooperate in various fields, in particular in the area of access to better water, support for farmers, women's entrepreneurship and others.

"The goal of our cooperation is to diversify the economy of Azerbaijan, to promote the development of macroeconomics and business. Today, Switzerland and Azerbaijan have friendly relations, both in politics, economy and culture," - she said.

In turn, Ambassador at Large of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Gunduz Jafarov stressed the growing bilateral relations between the countries.

"The political dialogue between our countries contributes to the strengthening of these relations. We also have economic cooperation. Documents that have been signed and those will be signed reinforce our relationship, "he said.

He also noted that active cultural and humanitarian cooperation is an important factor, expressing hope for strengthening existing relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
