Baku. 22 May. REPORT.AZ/ Over the 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Romania and Azerbaijan we have managed to move cooperation in the field of energy beyond cooperation and also develop other areas.
Report informs, Ambassador of Romania to Azerbaijan Dan Iancu said at a briefing. "We are now developing links in other areas, such as education," he added.
Iancu also noted that Azerbaijan has the potential for development in the fields of tourism and agriculture: "My compatriots should appreciate this potential, not only for tourists, but for investors."
D. Iancu noted that last year the total trade turnover between the countries amounted to $ 170 mln.
Ambassador said that work is currently under way to organize the 5th meeting of Azerbaijan-Romania intergovernmental commission: "This issue is on the agenda."
