Report informs, Kazakhstan ambassador in Azerbaijan Beybit Isabayev told in his interview to Astana Times.
Commenting on recent visit of Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev to Baku, B.Isabayev called the visit successful and underlined signing of nine various agreements and declaration of presidents: “We are optimistic about the prospect of further progressive development of bilateral relations”.
The ambassador also told that both countries mutually support each other’s foreign policy initiatives.
Talking about economic relations, B.Isabayev noted that last year mutual trade turnover amounted to $124.38 million, which is up by 7.9 percent compared to 2015 but significantly down compared to previous years: “This is due to the global economic recession and the difficult situation in the world economy”.
The diplomat also noted that Kazakhstan has registered more than 700 companies with the participation of Azerbaijani capital: “Azerbaijan has registered about 60 companies with the participation of Kazakh capital”.
