Ali Asadov to join discussions with CIS PMs

Prime Ministers of the CIS countries will gather in a video conference to discuss joint efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Report says citing Russian media.

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov will also join the online meeting.

The conference will cover 15 issues, including the draft strategy of economic development until 2030, which defines the key principles of trade and economic cooperation.

The heads of governments will also mull the cooperation and economic, transport and logistics, energy, cultural, and humanitarian subjects. The attendees will adopt joint documents on the development of cooperation in the fields of transport, energy, education, culture, youth policy, physical culture, and sports, depending on the outcomes of the meeting.

As Uzbekistan chairs the CIS this year, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will preside over the meeting. Mikhail Mishustin from Russia, Ali Asadov from Azerbaijan, Sergei Rumas from Belarus, Askar Mamin from Kazakhstan, Ion Chicu from Moldova, and other prime ministers and their deputies will represent their countries in the conference.
