Afghan President: Azerbaijan's great victory is victory of international law

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani within the framework of the 9th Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process ministerial conference in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Report.

Congratulating Azerbaijan on the Great Victory, the Afghan President stressed that it was a victory of international law. In this regard, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani conveyed his special congratulations to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said he was aware of the scale of the destruction in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and regretted it.

Expressing gratitude to the President of Afghanistan, Bayramov conveyed President Ilham Aliyev's sincere greetings to the other side.

Speaking about the reconstruction and restoration work carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the Minister stressed that life would return to these territories in the near future.

The sides noted with satisfaction the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Afghanistan. They exchanged views on the launch of the ASAN service in Afghanistan and its intention to cover a broader area in the future, the continuation of training for young Afghan diplomats at ADA University, as well as the importance of the Lapis-Lazuli international transport corridor.
