Abbas Abbasov: BIG works not only with colonies of both France and Netherlands

The Baku Initiative Group (BIG) works not only with the colonies of France but also with the colonies of the Netherlands, BIG head Abbas Abbasov said at an international conference in Baku on "Independence of Reunion: A Look at France's Colonial Heritage and Path to Sovereignty," Report informs.

According to Abbasov, BIG's struggle is not at all with the French people or state:

"It is claimed that BIG only deals with French colonies. However, we are fighting against colonialism. Because we also have activities with the Bonaire island, which is under the Dutch colonial rule."

Abbasov stated that BIG is again accused of being biased against France:

"During our operations, we have brought the problems of colonized peoples to the agenda and will continue this initiative."
