Zira FC's new transfer: State of football in Armenia not rosy

Baku. 31 January. REPORT.AZ/ "I have played for Armenia for nearly two years. The state of football in that country is not so rosy, it is not at a good level, in general," Zira FC's new transfer Ismaël Fofana told Report. The Côte d'Ivoire native 31-year-old striker who played for Armenia's 'Shirak' from 2012 to 2013 said the level of football in Azerbaijan is better than in Armenia: "I believe football in Azerbaijan will further improve. Therefore, I am here. Frankly speaking, I do not have a sufficient picture of football in this country. I will see it when I play it. But I think the level of football in Azerbaijan is better than in Armenia."

Forfana also said he was unaware of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia: "No, I do not have any idea about it. Football is my life. I have come to Azerbaijan to play football and I do not want to speak about it. I am not interested in the countries' history."
