UEFA to earn record revenue in 2019-2020 season

Baku. 7 February. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA expects to earn record revenue in 2019-2020 season, the financial director of the organization, Josef Koller, informed at the 43rd Congress of the organization held in Rome, Italy.

According to him, budget revenues will increase in 2019-2020, mainly due to the European Championship to be held in 2020: "The revenue of that season will be EUR 5,725,000,000. The total revenue of the EURO 2020 will exceed $2 bn.The revenues in Euro-2016 amounted to 1.9 bn."

After the financial director's speech, the budget plan for 2019-2020 was approved unanimously.

Notably, one match of Euro-2020 group stage and one match of 1/4 finals will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium. The matches in the arena accommodating 68,700 people will be played on June 13, June 17, June 21 and July 4 respectively.
