UEFA names countries honored with Fair Play Award

Baku. 23 November. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA has announced the names of three countries that are the winners of the annual Fair Play (Fair Play) prize at the end of 2017-2018 season.

Report informs citing the official website of the football organization that the award was divided into three nominations. Finland, which has 8,596 points, is the leader of the Fair Play rating. Northern Ireland was awarded as the most developed country, as it had 0,513 points for 2016/2017 season, while 8,489 points for 2017-2018 season. Finland was nominated as the country with the best fans. However, as this country was the winner in the general nomination, the award was received by the Faroe Islands.

All three national associations received a prize of $ 50,000. They can give this amount to professional or amateur clubs that match the rules of fair play or participate in the project. These countries won additional certificate for UEFA Cup until 2015.
