UEFA fines clubs in Poland, Scotland and Cyprus

Baku. 18 August. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA has penalized Poland's Legia, Scottish Aberdeen FC and Cypriot Apollon.

Report informs referring to the official website of organization, it was caused by fans' behavior during the Euro Cup matches with the participation of every 3 teams.

In Champions League III qualifying round Polish football club Legia fined 35 thousand euros by UEFA after its fans displayed a vast banner commemorating Poles killed by the Nazis during the match against Kazakh Astana.

“During the Warsaw Uprising Germans killed 160,000 people. Thousands of them were children,” the banner read.

Within the Europa League III qualifying round on August 3 Aberdeen have been fined 10,000 euros by UEFA following crowd trouble during their Europa League clash with Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.

UEFA's disciplinary body also fined Apollon 27,500 euros for fireworks and "throwing of objects" charges, along with the improper conduct of the team after they received five yellow cards during their 2-0 second-leg win, which saw them progress 3-2 on aggregate.

Notably, total amount of the fine made 72.5 thousand EUR.
