UEFA allocates funds to Azerbaijani clubs not participating in European Cups

Baku. 20 November. REPORT.AZ/ UEFA has allocated funds to six Azerbaijani clubs, which didn't qualify for European Cups in 2016-2017 season.

Report informs citing the official website of AFFA (Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan), the funds were envisaged within the framework of UEFA's program "solidarity payments for youth development".

Each of the clubs, competing in the Azerbaijani Premier League in the season, but not qualified for UEFA Champions League and Europa League, were granted 71,053 AZN. The amount was transferred to the accounts of  Zira, Keshla (former Inter) clubs. Sumgayit, AZAL, Neftchi and Kapaz, mediated by AFFA.

Notably, the funds intended for Kapaz and Keshla will be transferred to their accounts in the following months to cover monthly current expenses of the clubs.
