Today Azerbaijan plays with Qatar in international friendly

Baku. 9 March. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan national football team will play its next game today.

Report informs, the team led by Croatian specialist Robert Prosinečki will meet with Qatar in first match of 2017.

Only Azerbaijan Premier League players have been included in national team travelling to Doha as the game to be played at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium hasn’t been included in FIFA official window. Robert Prosinecki who cannot benefit from services of players engaged in foreign leagues - Ramil Sheydayev, Dmitri Nazarov, Kamran Aghayev, Emin Mahmudov and Deniz Yilmaz took three new recruits to Doha. These are “Qarabag” goalkeeper Shahrudin Mahammadaliyev, “Inter” defender Abbas Huseynov and “Qabala” midfielder Tellur Mutallimov.

The game with hosts of 2022 World Cup aims at preparation for 2018 World Cup.

Notably, the game starts at 20:00 Baku time.
