State finances Tokyo Olympics and Euro 2020 broadcasting in Azerbaijan

The rights for broadcasting the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and EURO 2020 in Azerbaijan have been acquired at the expense of the state budget.

Under the report on the implementation of the 2019 state budget, the state has covered the expenses for the right to broadcast all the games of the European Championship, including four matches that will take place in Baku and the Summer Olympic Games in Japan, Report says.

However, no exact amount has been mentioned.

AzTV and ITV channels acquired EURO 2020 broadcasting right, but only AzTV got the right to broadcast Tokyo 2020. Both competitions have been postponed due to a coronavirus pandemic.
