Baku. 3 September. REPORT.AZ / Footballer of Italian club Lazio, Valon Berisha will not attend the matches against Azerbaijan and the Faroe Islands in the UEFA Nations League.
Report informs that the reason is an untreated injury which the 25-year-old midfielder received a month ago. Berisha said that he was very upset by the unwanted absence in the two upcoming matches: "I have been suffering from injury for a month. I tried to recover for the upcoming match, but failed. It is regretful that I am not involved in the national squad, but now the main goal is to recover. I don't want to miss the matches for the national team anymore."
Notably, the Kosovo-Azerbaijan match will be held on September 7 at the Baku Olympic stadium, while the match against the Faroe Islands is due to be held on September 10 at the Fadil Vokkri stadium in Pristina.
