Russian commentator: "Many people will discover Azerbaijan after Europa League final "

"I am sure that the final of the Europa League in Baku will be a good one," Commentator for Russia's Match-TV channel Elvin Kerimov told Russian bureau of Report.

"Sport combines people, it is out of politics. People communicate with each other, discover new countries for themselves. Most likely, even after the Europa League, some will discover Azerbaijan, " he said.

The commentator noted that for many years Azerbaijan has been hosting serious competitions in various kinds sport: “Baku became the organizer of the first European Games. Azerbaijan has long proved to be ready for such events."

"The country's leadership has been working for many years in this direction, enhancing the country's reputation, all kinds of sport, including football are developing. It is very good that Azerbaijan is hosting the Europa League final."

He regretted that he could not come to the match and said he would watch the game with pleasure.

The commentator, who commented on the issue of providing properly security of players and fans during the match, said that the game will show everything.

"I think that everything will be fine. I would like to note that Azerbaijan hosts the final of cultural events, such as Eurovision, but not only sport events. All the necessary security measures will be provided, and I think that much has been done in this direction. Of course, it is a serious and difficult task. But reputation of the country is a matter of question. So, no question can be exist in this issue. Regarding the safety of the fans, Baku is a great city for tourists. Everyone, who visited Baku once, understood that Baku has a beautiful atmosphere. A lot of hospitable people live there," Kerimov said.

"To tell the truth, the issue on Arsenal and Chelsea fans and a limited number of tickets, surprised me. Why did UEFA not discuss these issues before selecting the city to host the final. Undoubtedly, it is UEFA's mistake. Why were all these issues not discussed in advance?” Kerimov said.

Notably, Europa League final match will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium on May 29.
