Ronaldo receives only two votes from Europe at the Golden Ball award

Baku. 5 December. REPORT.AZ/ Only two journalists from European countries voted for Cristiano Ronaldo, the star footballer of the Portuguese national team and Italy's Juventus, at the Golden Ball award.

Report informs that these countries are Portugal and Slovenia. Representatives of other continents also voted for Ronaldo, who ranked second. 

The winner of the Golden Ball Croatian Luca Modric received votes from 29 European countries. The Azerbaijani sports journalist, collaborator of CBC Sport TV channel, Rasim Movsumzade, also voted for Modric. He indicated the youngest player in the French national team and PSG striker Kilian Mbappeni second, midfielder of Egypt national team England's Liverpool Mohammad Salahi third, Chelsea's midfielder Eden Hazard fourth, while Frencg scorer of Spanish Atletico Antoine Griezmann was fifth.
