Forward Robin van Persie leaving Turkey

Baku. 21 July. REPORT.AZ/ A number of football stars have decided to leave Turkey, owing to the ongoing insecurity following last week’s failed military coup attempt, with Beşiktaş’s German striker Mario Gomez and Fenerbahçe’s Dutch forward Robin van Persie announcing that they will leave the country.
Report informs referring to the Turkish Hürriyet daily.
Mario Gomez announced that he will leave because of the “political situation” in the country, saying that it was a “difficult decision.”
Notably, the Dutch star scored 22 goals in the 48 games that he played in appearances with Fenerbahçe.
