Robert Pires: Baku is not too far from London

"It is a great opportunity for Azerbaijan, especially Baku, to host an event as the final match of the European League," former footballer of French national team Robert Pires said. According to the former midfielder,  it is a special event that London’s two clubs will play in the final. Piren said that he would support Arsenal in a decisive match: "Because I have spent six years of my career in this club. Moreover, I'm also an ambassador of this team. Besides qualifying to the final, I expect Arsenal to win the final."

According to a French veteran player, Baku is not too far from London: "There are only 5 hour flight between the two cities, and this is a new opportunity for both Arsenal and Chelsea fans to discover a new country and city."

Pires also noted that he is interested in organizing the final match to be held at Baku Olympic Stadium: "I am involved to the final match as a representative of one of the sponsors. I am informed about the football love of the Azerbaijani fans. The stadium is very big. I believe that the final match will be interesting for the fans of both teams."
