Resignation of Louis van Gaal not accepted

Baku. 26 January. REPORT.AZ/ "Manchester United" head coach LOUIS VAN GAAL offered to leave on Saturday — but was talked into staying. Report informs referring to foreign media.

It is understood LVG made the offer to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward after the 1-0 home defeat by Southampton and the pair talked again the following day.

But Woodward wants the Dutchman to stay until the summer rather than make any changes mid-season.
