Reason for replacement of Rashad Sadigov as head coach of Qarabag U-19 team unveiled

Baku. 6 September. REPORT.AZ/ The reason for the replacement of Rashad Sadigov by Aftandil Hajiyev as head coach of the Qarabag U-19 team which will perform in the UEFA Youth League, became known.

Director of “Qarabag” FC Emrah Çelikel told Report that the reason for the replacement is that Qarabag FC captain of which is Sadigov, also performs in the group stage of the Champions League: "Earlier, Qarabag received a pass to the Junior League as the winner of U-19 League organized by AFFA. In this case, Sadigov can not be a head coach in U-19 field. Because the meetings of Qarabag U-19 and Chelsea are on the same day - September 12. Other matches of the group will also be like that. For this reason, we considered it appropriate to temporarily assign U-19 to Aftandil Hajiyev. We do not rule out the return of R. Sadigov to his post in the future”.

Notably, meeting between Qarabag U-19 and Chelsea on September 12 in London starts at 14:05 on Baku time.
