Qarabag comments on allegations that Azersun Holding will not sponsor the club

Baku. 6 February. REPORT.AZ/  Qarabag FC has commented on the allegattions that Azersun Holding will refuse from sponsorship to the club.

Director of Aghdam representative Emrah Çelikel told Report that reports in this regard do not reflect the truth.

"Azersun Holding did not cut Qarabag’s budget at the time of the biggest crises, and today it is out of the question. I cannot say why such news is spread, however it does not reflect the truth. President of the club Abdolbari Goozal and vice-president Tahir Goozal are always interested in the team and instructed us to avoid any shortcoming," he stressed.

Notably, Qarabag has received sponsorship from Azersun Holding since 2001. During this period, the team became the champion five times and won the same number of cups. Agdam's representative went down into history as the first Azerbaijani club to qualify for the Group stage of the Champions League.
