The event occurred around 15 minutes in the second half of the game between Guarani of Venâncio Aires and São Paulo of the Rio Grande at the Edmundo Feix Stadium. In images circulating on social networks, midfielder William Ribeiro from São Paulo hits Crivellaro with a kick in the head and already falls to the ground.

The referee remains immobile after the attack, and players from both teams call for medical help immediately.

According to the information posted on Twitter in São Paulo-RS, the violence occurred shortly after the Guarani opened the scoreboard, but the reason is not clear. The referee left the scene unconscious in an ambulance. The game was interrupted.

Police described Ribeiro's actions as attempted murder. The player, who was sent to a local prison, will also pay a fine.
