Baku. 10 June. REPORT.AZ/ Brazil soccer legend Pele has sold $5 million worth of memorabilia during a three-day sale in London, England, Report informs citing the Sky News.
Selling the items under Julien's auction house with part of the money going to a Brazilian children's hospital, his 1970 World Cup winners medal sold for just over USD 500,000.
He also sold his other two World Cup winning medals, shirts, trophies and more.
Here are some of the other items that were sold: soccer shoes worn in the movie "Escape to Victory" (featuring Sylvester Stallone) brought in USD 11,000; 2007 FIFA Presidential Award for USD 44,000; 1,000th goal tribute crown with book for USD 234,000.
