One of Azerbaijani ambassadors at UEFA Europa League draw named

Baku. 17 August. REPORT.AZ/ Football veteran Vali Gasimov will be one of the ambassadors of Azerbaijan to take part in draw of UEFA Champions League 2018/2019 season group stage.

Notably, the final match of the tournament will be held on May 29, 2019 in Baku Olympic Stadium.

According to the rules, the ambassador of the final game should be one of the veteran players. He must attend all the draw ceremonies starting from the group stage. The group stage draw will take place on August 31 in Monaco. This season, only Azerbaijani team members can reach the group stage of the Europa League. For this, Aghdam team must surpass Moldova's "Sheriff" in III round of the Euro League. The first match will be held in Tiraspol on August 23 and the return match in Baku on August 30.
