Neftchi's footballer sustains serious injury in Haiti training camp

Neftchi's footballer Soni Mustador has been injured in the Haiti training camp.

The 29-year-old midfielder was injured in a clash with his teammate at one of the trainings, according to Haiti Football Federation's official website. MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) showed the broken medial ligaments of the right knee.

For this reason, it was announced that Mustador would stay away from pitches for one to three months. However, no surgical intervention will be needed. Thus, Neftchi will not be able to involve the Central American legionary to the Europa League qualifying stages.

The Haiti national team is currently preparing for the Gold Cup, which will be held in the United States, Costa Rica and Jamaica. The competition, which will be attended by 16 Northern and Central American countries, will be held June 15 until July 7.
