Named the best African footballer of 2017 year

Baku. 5 January. REPORT.AZ/ The best African footballer of 2017 year has been announced.

Report informs, player of Egyptian national team and Liverpool club Mohamed Salah was awarded with this title. 

25-year-old forward polled 625 points fended off opposition from his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane of Senegal (507 votes) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon playing for Borussia Dortmund (311 votes).

Hector Cuper, head coach of Egyptian national football team won the nomination of coach of the 2017 year. The team coached by Argentinian specialist qualified for final stage of 2018 FIFA World Cup and won the silver medals of Africa Cup of Nations last year. Egyptian team was named the national team of the year.

Mohamed Salah has also won a poll for the Arab player of 2017 year. The forward who transferred from Italian Roma club to Liverpool last month, this season has scored 23 goals in 29 games for Liverpool.
