Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ Former coach of Khazar Lankaran Oğuz Çetin assessed the removal of Qarabag footballer Dino Ndlovu from the game after receiving the second yellow card on the match with Atletico.
Report informs, 54-year-old specialist who was a guest on Tivibu TV channel, said French referee Ruddy Buquet treated Ndlovu unfaily. He said if the same situation was inside the box of Qarabag, Buquet would have taken penalty in favor of Atletico”.
“The similar situation happened during the match of Qarabag with Inter when I was working in Azerbaijan. At that time Azerbaijani club complained to UEFA for disallowing the goal, but they did not get the positive response and this time they faced injustice in Euro cup.”
According to him, qualifying of Qarabag for group stage of Champions League is not a coincidence: "Qurban Gurbanov has been coaching the team for many years. They don’t have a problem in championship. In European cups their success increase in a high temp. The stadiums are filled during the continent scale matches. Qarabag does not lose any game very easily. In the last round Roma gained victory in Baku with the difficulty. The development in Azerbaijani football is not so high. But they invest in certain teams. The biggest attention is paid to Qarabag. They do their job in a high level. Coming to this point is not a coincidence.”
After the Diego Godin’s obstruction in the 75th minute of the match with Atletico, Dino Ndlovu left on the ground. But the referee showed a yellow card to Ndlovu and removed him from the field instead of taking a penalty in favor of Qarabag FC.
Oğuz Çetin was a head coach of Khazar Lankaran between June and December of 2014.
