Khagani Mammadov: Number of FIFA referees in Azerbaijan may soar

Baku. 10 October. REPORT.AZ/ The number of FIFA referrees in Azerbaijan may reach four.

Chairman of the AFFA Referees Committee Khagani Mammadov. told Report.

He said that, in addition to three current referees, one more person was included in the list sent to the FIFA Referees Committee. Kh. Mammadov said it would be wrong to disclose the name of the referee in advance: “At present, we have three FIFA referrees. They are Aliyar Aghayev, Rahim Hasanov and Omar Pashayev. We want to bring their number to four. For this purpose, we have included another chief referee in the list. But FIFA will made a final decision in November”.

Notably, Ravan Hamzazade and Orkhan Mammadov have more chances to be the fourth in the list. O. Mammadov has previously served as FIFA referee.
