NBA star Kevin Durant has become a minority shareholder in French football club Paris Saint-Germain. PSG are three-time defending Ligue 1 champions.
Durant, a recent Olympic gold medalist with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has invested an undisclosed amount in the Parisians.
The basketball player made the investment via Arctos Sports Partners, the American investment fund which bought a 12.5% stake in the club in 2023, which valued PSG at $4.6 billion (€4.25bn).
“It was an honour to welcome Kevin Durant to the Campus today and to witness his passion for Paris Saint-Germain and his recognition of the excellent sports facilities at our new PSG Campus training centre,” said Al-Khelaifi following Durant’s visit last week.
