German goalkeeper Neuer injured

Baku. 19 April. REPORT.AZ/ The German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer sustained the injury as Cristiano Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in extra time during Tuesday's 4-2 defeat to Madrid in the return leg of their quarter-final tie, which eliminated Bayern 6-3 on aggregate.

Report informs citing the official website of Munich representatives, 31-year-old goalkeeper broke his left foot.

He suffered the injury during the 105-minute goal hit by "royal club" captain Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bayern announced the initial diagnosis and said 31-year-old Neuer will "undergo a thorough examination on arrival in Munich prior to a decision on the appropriate treatment".

Notably, Manuel Neuer didn’t take part in match against the national team of Azerbaijan held in Baku on March 26, as part of World Cup qualifying group match 2018.
