Gabala's rival will not bring Armenian footballer to Azerbaijan

Baku. 27 June. REPORT.AZ/ Armenian footballer Alexander Karapetyan will not play within Luxembourg's Progress club in the Europa League qualifying round against Gabala FC. Report informs,

the manager of the FC Progrès Niederkorn, Thomas Gilgemann, made a statement. Gilgemann said decision was taken for security reasons and due to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict: Karapetyan’s visit to Azerbaijan canceled. Although he is in shape, he does not want to go to Gabala FC because of the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict. On the other hand, as a club, we have to protect our players. We do not want to take a risk in this regard”.
