Gabala FC qualifies for European Cup and wins Premier League for 4th consecutive season

Baku. 20 March. REPORT.AZ/ Another medalist of the Azerbaijan Premier League, qualifying for the European Cups, has been identified.

Report informs, this is Gabala FC, ranking 2nd. Managed by Roman Hryhorchuk, the team ended the away match of XXIII round with AZAL in a draw 1:1 and collected 47 points. Zira FC takes 4th place, with 1 point from game with Qarabag - 0:0. So, Gabala FC ranks in top 3, qualifying for the European Cups. In other words, the club takes place among medalists in the 4th consecutive season.

However in previous 3 years, Gabala won bronze medal, now the club may get even a gold. But the 2nd place will not be won earlier than XXV round and championship than XXVI round. To gain this place, 3rd Inter should be defeated in the next 2, leader Qarabag in 3 rounds, while Roman Hryhorchuk's team should win 3 points.

Notably, firstly, Qarabag FC qualified for the European Cups in XXII round. According to the regulations, bronze medalist and Azerbaijani Cup winner must qualify for.
