Football legend Pele taken to hospital

Baku. 19 January. REPORT.AZ/ Brazil legend Pele will remain in hospital and is being monitored by doctors in his homeland after collapsing in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The world football icon, 77, had been due in London this weekend, at the Football Writers' Association Tribute Night on Sunday evening at The Savoy, where he was set to be honoured. Doctors said it is not life threatening. 

Notably, Pele is the three-time world champion.
