Emil Balaev’s father: “My son called and said he didn't want to stay in Norway”

The details of the refusal of the Azerbaijani national team player Emil Balaev to perform for the Norwegian club Bodø/Glimt have become known.

Nazim Balayev, the father of the 26-year-old goalkeeper, stated that the club that had invited his son did not fulfill its financial and housing obligations: "What did Emil have to do? Wait for them? They talked about a lack of finance, cited various excuses. Emil called me and said he did not want to stay there. They offered only 3,000 euros. If you spend 80-90 euros per day on food, how do you pay for other expenses? Rental housing costs 1200 euros. Norway is an expensive country".

Notably, the last club of Emil Balaev was Kazakhstan's Tobol FC.
