ECA Chairman opposes to closing transfer window by August 31

Baku. 22 August. REPORT.AZ/ The Chairman of the European Clubs Association (ECA) Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has spoken against the closing of the summer transfer “window” on August 31.

Report informs citing the goal.com, 62-year-old specialist, who is also a board member of Germany’s Bavaria FC, has made a statement in this regard. He noted that the transfer “window” should be closed at least until the national championships start: “Earlier, UEFA was also in favor of it. The “window” should be closed until the national championships start. Otherwise, everything may turn out to be ridiculous.”

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge considers that European clubs should consider the possibility of raising this issue at UEFA.

Notably, earlier, Executive Director of Borussia Dortmund Hans Joachim made a similar proposal.
